Complete Lesson Plans for
a Guided Hour of Eucharistic Adoration for Children
And
Matching Follow Up Activities
[Links are the blue words and/or the name of the resource.]
Each session’s plans include an overview sheet, detailed plans of what you will say and when you pause, “extra” prayers, and the booklet with the prayers and some of songs.
The first ten plans are published with the approval of the Committee on Divine Worship, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The remaining plans are based on the same model.
Approval noted on individual plans.
Many of the newer plans have additional movement, gestures, approaching & bowing before Jesus in the Eucharist, blowing kisses, and using imagination as a part of prayer and reflection. I'm loving them!
If you are having all ages come to a Guided Children's Adoration and an hour is too long for the littlest children, these plans (^) have a song mid-point where the children can walk up to the monstrance to bow before Jesus. This would be a good point for the younger children to leave and the older children to stay. Of course, everyone can stay and it just adds a bit of movement with reverence for all the children.
(A very large group many not be conductive to a processional to bow before Jesus.)
(Not all the songs’ words are included due to copyright issues, but the choice of song is listed. Please consult your own parish’s rights to use the suggested songs.)
