Eucharistic Miracle: Sienna, Italy
On this website, you will find detailed plans * for guiding children through an hour of Eucharistic Adoration.
* The first eight plans are published with the approval of the Committee on Divine Worship, United
States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The remaining plans are based on the same model.
Approval noted on individual plans.
Each set of plans includes everything a leader would need to lead the Eucharistic Hour.
Each Holy Hour is filled with prayers, lines of scripture, songs, stories, praise, reflections and times of prayerful silence.
Plans may also include a decade of the rosary to meditate on an aspect of Jesus’ life.
By guiding the children, their minds stay focused on the Blessed Sacrament and their time with Jesus is fulfilling.
Also, by guiding the children, they are learning what they can do when they have quiet time with Jesus, whether it be in preparation for Mass, the awe they might feel during consecration, when they are struggling at school or home, or when they come to a “regular” time of quiet Eucharistic Adoration.
The children are learning a way of praying and spending time with Jesus that will stay with them throughout their life.
Also, you will also find activities to complement the Holy Hour sessions to be used outside Eucharistic Adoration. These activities can help the children get more from their time with Jesus.
